Description
Periploca is a genus of flowering plants with 88 species belonging to the family Apocynaceae (order Gentianales ). Native to southern Europe and western Asia where it grows on all types of soils that are sunny and humid. They are climbing deciduous shrubs that reach 9 meters in height. Leaves opposite, simple, oval and dark green. With hermaphrodite flowers and grown in Great Britain as an ornamental plant .
