Description

Bouchetia erecta is a low, perennial , herbaceous plant whose few to several stems are slender and grow upright or prostrate and up to 20 cm long. They are sparsely hairy with inwardly curved trichomes . The leaves are linear to lanceolate ovate, 1.5 to 3.5 cm long and 0.3 to 1 cm wide. They are pointed to the front, wedge-shaped at the base. Both sides are almost hairless or only finely hairy. The lower leaves are short stalked, the upper ones saddling.The flowers stand individually on 1.5 to 3 cm long petal stems . The calyx is finely hairy and 6 to 10 mm long and is covered with 2.5 to 4 mm long, linear, unequal or equal, pointed or blunt chalices. The crown is white or blue and finely hairy on the outside. The crown has a diameter of about 1 cm, the crown is 1 to 1.5 cm long. The corolla are short and dull. The five stamens are in two pairs of stamens and one single. The two pairs are either equally long and the single stamens is shorter, or one pair is longer and the remaining three are the same length. The staples are 4.5 to 7.5 mm long, The dust bags about 1 mm. The counters are diverging at the top. The pen is 6 to 9.5 mm long and does not extend beyond the crown.The fruit is a 5.5 to 7 mm long capsule surrounded by a widening calyx. The seeds are angled, about 1 mm long and net-like-grubig.
