Caley's grevillea (Grevillea caleyi)

Description

Grevillea caleyi, also known as Caley's Grevillea, is a shrub which is endemic to Australia. It grows up to 4 metres in height and flowers between August and December (mid winter to early summer) in its native range. Flowers have a fawn perianth and maroon or red styles with green tips. It occurs on ridges in a restricted area within the north-eastern suburbs of Sydney in woodland-heath. The species was first formally described by botanist Robert Brown, his description published in Supplementum primum prodromi florae Novae Hollandiae in 1830.
