Fringed hare orchid (Leporella fimbriata)
Description
It is a small-sized orchid, which prefers cool weather. It has terrestrial habits with oval tubers that give rise to an erect stem completely wrapped by a few pods and with a single and small sharp blade. It blooms in a terminal, erect, thin inflorescence of 25 cm high, in cluster form with 1 to 3 flowers. This species is often found in close relationship with ants and can benefit from its presence. Flowering occurs in autumn and winter.
