Spheroid-flowered Catasetum (Catasetum globiflorum)
Description
It is a small epiphytic orchid , which prefers warm climate. It has fusiform pseudobulbs surrounded by folded and deciduous leaves and pods. It flowers in an erect basal inflorescence , 45 cm long, with 10 to 15 flowers, arising from a mature pseudobulb, with fleshy and fragrant flowers that occur in the spring and early summer.
