King Orchid (Broughtonia domingensis)

Description

It is a small orchid of small size, which prefers the warm climate, with habits of epiphyte with pseudobulbs ovoid to fusiform-cylindrical that carry 2-3 leaves, linear ligulate, unequal round or bilobed apically with margins serrulados. It flowers more frequently in the spring and summer in an inflorescence of 60 cm long, slender, in the form of a panicle with slightly fragrant flowers, or not, with the flowers grouped in the opening of the apex successively for a long period. It is best mounted on wood and should be given moderate shade and moderate humidity, but likes xerophilous conditions in winter.
