Plinia cauliflora, the Brazilian grapetree, jaboticaba or jabuticaba, is a tree in the family Myrtaceae, native to Minas Gerais and São Paulo states in Brazil.Related species in the genus Myrciaria, often referred to by the same common names, are native. Is a tree native to Brazil , Paraguay , Bolivia (eastern area) of north-eastern Argentina and recently discovered in northern central Venezuela, which belongs to the family of the Mirtáceas like the guava , guabirá , the arrayánand the saguinto . Its scientific name is Plinia cauliflora .  Receive the names of Taanumoxin Chiquitano , Jabuticaba in Portuguese, Yvapurũ in avañe'ẽ and Ibapumi in Pauserna . In Paraguay it is also called "Yvapuru" in the native official language, the Guaraní. It is called "guapurú" in Santa Cruz de la Sierra ( Bolivia ).
