Description
Neoraimondia arequipensis is a species in the genus neoraimondia from the family of cactus (Cactaceae).Neoraimondia arequipensis grows shrubby, ramifies at the base and does not form a stem. The massive, upright shoots reach stature heights of up to 10 meters at diameters of up to 40 centimeters. There are 5 to 8 ribs available. The cone-like, conspicuous areoles are up to 5 inches long. Of the up to 7 thorns per areole are some to 25 inches long.
