Chagualillo (Puya venusta)
Description
Locally called chagualillos , chagual chico or chagual , is a species of the Bromeliaceae family. It is a plant that reaches a height of 1.5 m including the floral wand. The leaves are distributed in a rosette and are linear, with spiny margins, silver. The flowers are densely distributed in terminal compound spikes. The flowers have six blue tepals. This is a rare plant 2 found in some parts of Chile including Zapallar, Los Molles, Los Vilos.
