White Ballmustard (Calepina irregularis)
Description
The hawthorn is an annual, glabrous, slightly glaucous plant. Its stems 30-60 cm long, are spread out to ascending. The basal leaves are arranged in rosette, lyr-es or sinu-es. The stem leaves (along the stem) are oblong, entire or toothed , embracing-auriculate. The white flowers are small 2-4 mm . They comprise 4 sepals erect, equal to the base and 4 white petals, the outer 2 slightly larger 3 . The style is short, thick and conical. Flowering takes place from April to June. The fruit-bearing bunch is elongated and narrow. The fruit is a small silica , ovoid-globose, networked , indehiscent, fully filled by 1 seed.
