

Berberis fendleri is a species of flowering plant in the family Berberidaceae, native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet (3 meters) tall and 6 feet (1.8 meters) wide. The leaves are small and oval-shaped, with spiny teeth along the edges. The flowers are yellow and bloom in the spring, followed by red berries in the summer and fall.
