Sphagnum arcticum is a bladmossart described by Kjeld Ivar Flatberg and Arne Arnfinn Frisvoll 1984. According Catalog of Life includes sphagnum arcticum the genus sphagnum moss and family Sphagnaceae , but according Dyntaxa are instead belonging to the genus sphagnum moss and family Sphagnaceae . The species has not been found in Sweden . No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life
