Riccardia is a genus of hepatic mosses belonging to the family Aneuraceae . It comprises 386 species described and of these only 216 accepted. The genus was described by Samuel Frederick Gray and published in A Natural Arrangement of British Plants 1: 679. 1821. The type species is: Riccardia multifida (L.) Gray.
