Forest Nightshade (Solanum nudum)
Description
It is a-tree-of up to 3 m in height.-Leaves alternate, elliptic, 14-15cm long and 7.0 - 7.5cm wide, base attenuated, decurrent on the petiole, apex acuminate, back with hairs on the ramifications of the main vein;-Smaller conspicuous leaves, are born near the insertion of the main leaf but in different plane, smaller size and similar form.-Subumbulum axillary inflorescence, the floral parts are inserted below the ovary, the calyx of the flower with 4 rounded, persistent lobes;-5 petals free cream;-4 conniving stamens;-Yellow anthers, covering the stigma.
