Description
Brunfelsia undulata is a shrub or tree up to 6 m high which forms a relatively thin trunk. In cultivated plants, root shoots often form around the main stem producing a large number of clones There are relatively few leaves formed, these are in groups of only a few leaves on the tips of long, spindle-shaped branches on about 0.6 cm long petioles The leaf blade is ovate-lanceolate, tapered at both ends and slightly tapered. The leaf margin is almost ganzrandig. The length is 5.5 to 18 cm, the width 2 to 4.5 cm. The leaf area is hairless. By anthocyanins the young leaves are often purple colored.
