Arana (Schoepfia arenaria)
Description
Schoepfia arenaria, the arana, is a species of plant in the Olacaceae family. It is endemic to Puerto Rico. There are only about 120 individuals known to exist, and they are divided amongst four populations. This tree is federally listed as a threatened species of the United States.
