Description

Dimocarpus longan grows as evergreen tree , which reaches heights from 10 up to rare 40 meters and a stem diameter of about 1 meter. The leaves are at least 15 to 30 cm long and are feathered with usually four or five (rarely three or six) feathering pairs. The stems of the leaflets are shorter than 5 mm. The somewhat leathery spikes of the leaflets are often asymmetric, 6 to 15 cm long and 2.5 to 5 cm wide. The cotyledons ( cotyledons ) thick.
