Coffea stenophylla is a m-rev-xtart described by George Don jr . Coffea stenophylla included in the genus Coffea and family Rubiaceae . No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life . [ 2 ] The species commonly called Sierra Leone coffee or coffee Scottish.The species' occurrence was demonstrated first by Andrew Moore and Adam Afzelius in Sierra Leone in 1796. The farmer Andrew Moore was a freed slave who had moved from the United States to Sierra Leone, the United Kingdom had recently established the colony to, among others former slaves. The Swedish botanist Afzelius was a disciple of Linnaeus and sent by the British Academy of Sciences to explore the colony's flora. In February 1796 handed Moore a few beans he had found in the forest to the colonial line. Afzelius ruled that there was coffee and made an initial description of the species, after Moore and later submitted throughout shrubs.
