"Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: entire plant esp. leaves The Clavelitos de Sierra or Ranunculus macrophyllus is a plant of the Ranunculáceae family . Vivid , medium, hairy and quite robust grass . Leaves mainly basal , with contour of pentagonal to heartbeat and with 3-5 wide and toothed divisions; upper trilobal leaves. The middle and upper 3-part cauline leaves with oblong lanceolate segments, whole dentate or lobed; the last often bracteiformes. Flowers yellow and 25-30 mm; Separate at first extended and then reflections. Aquenios with a robust bill, usually hairy. West of the Mediterranean from Portugal ( Algarve ), and Spain ( Andalusia , Balearic Islands ) to Sicily ; absent from peninsular Italy . Also in North Africa . It lives in rocky and humid places. 3 At the edges of streams, humid depressions, ditches and margins of cultivation, humid forests in regions of warm climate.
