Petrophile phylicoides is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.The compact non-lignotuberous shrub typically grows to a height of 0.2 to 1 metre (0.7 to 3.3 ft). It blooms between September and December producing yellow-cream flowers.It is found on sand plains and lateritic ridges in the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Goldfields-Esperance regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy-gravelly soils
