Petrophile acicularis is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.The tufted shrub typically grows to a height of 0.15 to 1.0 metre (0.5 to 3.3 ft). It blooms between September and November producing yellow-cream-white flowers.It is found in the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy-gravelly soils
