Description

It is a creeping orchid , with low loose leaves sheathing an oval rhizome. In the upper part of each of the pseudobulbs there is a leathery leaf. The leaves are oblong and petiolated. The inflorescence appears laterally from the base of the pseudobulbs, but does not extend beyond the leaves. At the base, which is surrounded by an envelope of broad leaves, the bracts fall off soon. The inflorescence is dense with flowers, olive green and red. The lip is articulated at the base of the column, with three lobes, the lateral fins in vertical position. The column is short and with blunt ends.
