Description

Bifrenaria stefanae is a species of orchid epiphyte of cespitose growth only found in São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, in Brazil, which inhabits rainforests. It belongs to the group ofsmall Bifrenaria , occasionally classified in the genera Adipe or Stenocoryne . It is similar to Bifrenaria vitellinawhich can be differentiated by the petals, which here do not open much, by the terminal lobe of the lip that is wider than long, and by the positioning of the callus of the lip, further from the base of what happens in the first.
