Description

Acianthera saundersiana is a species of orchid epiphyte , family Orchidaceae, that exists in almost all the states of the Atlantic Forest inBrazil and in Bolivia , Argentina , Peru and Paraguay. They are robust creeping plants whose length of the stems and rhizomes is variable as well as the width of the leaves. Their flowers are equally variable. Can be entirely green or with purple details. The dorsal sepal is usually transparent with three purple lists at the base and is thicker and purplish in the apical third. The petals are lanceolate, always translucent, with three purple lines, the lip is verrucous, narrow, where purple predominates.
