Dwarf Willowherb (Epilobium lamyi)
Description
It is a plant of 30-80 cm., Lying and radicating at the base, glabrescent, of strain emitting elongated stolons, bearing pairs of leaves, fairly firm, of a reddish green; Stem easily compressible, leaning at the top, with 2-4 lines not prominent; Lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate leaves, rounded at the base, weakly denticulate, often glossy, sessile means; Pink flowers, small (5-6 mm in diameter), erect, in loose clusters and poorly furnished; Petals little beyond the calyx; Whole stigma, in clubs; Capsules short, the lower ones opening long before the superiors. The dark spruce grows in the peat bogs, streams of siliceous soils, in almost all Europe.
