Description

Kunzea spathulata is a flowering plant in the myrtle family,Myrtaceae and is endemic to a small area in the south west of Western Australia.The shrub typically grows to a height of 4.5 metres (15 ft).It blooms between October and November producing yellow to yellow-green flowers.Often found around marshes and swampy areas in coastal areas of the South West region of Western Australia. The species was first formally described by Helmut Toelken in 1996 in the article A revision of the genus Kunzea (Myrtaceae) in the Journal of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.The only synonym is Kunzea ericifolia var.glabrior.
