Description

Kunzea similis is a flowering plant in the myrtle family,Myrtaceae and is endemic to a small area along the south coast of Western Australia.The shrub typically grows to a height of 3 metres (10 ft).It blooms between September and November producing pink flowers. Often found on low slopes and rocky ridges in a small area along the southern coast in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia on the Esperance Plains where it grows in clay or loamy sands over laterite.The species was first formally described by Helmut Toelken in 1996 in the article A revision of the genus Kunzea (Myrtaceae) in the Journal of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens
