Description

Eucalyptus gittinsii, commonly known as northern sandplain mallee, is a mallee that is native to Western Australia. The mallee typically grows to a height of 2 to 5 metres (7 to 16 ft) with rough bark that peels off from the lower portions. It blooms between December and February producing inflorescences with white flowers. It is found along the west coast on sand plains, sand dune and ridges in the Mid West and Wheatbelt regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy soils often with lateritic gravel.
