Boldo (Peumus boldus)

Description

The Boldo ( Peumus boldus ) is an evergreen plant native to Chile and Peru belonging to the Laurales order. Tree dioecious evergreen, not exceeding 5 m in height. It has opposite leaves, coriaceous and opaque green opaque, which have a very short petiole. The male and female flowers are generally white, gathered in terminal inflorescences. It produces fruit in the period between December and February characterized by the great content of sugars and therefore very sweet taste.
