Description
Thymus comosus is a small shrub that forms almost upright to low-lying and woody stems The flower-bearing stems are 5 to 15 cm long, are sometimes branched and hairy all around. The leaves are up to 17 mm long and 9 mm wide. They are broadly ovate or rhombic-ovate to nearly circular, pedicelled and provided with distinct veins. They are hairless or slightly hairy and ciliate on the base.The inflorescences are up to 7 cm long and bulbous to cylindrical. The bracts are similar to the leaves. The calyx is 4 to 5.5 mm long and nearly cylindrical in shape. The upper teeth are up to 2 mm long and narrow lanceolate and ciliate. The crown is 8 to 9 mm long and purple colored
