Description

Stachys annua is a species of the family of the Lamiaceae. It is originally from Eurasia. Great part of Europe, except Great Britain, Finland , Portugal , Ireland and Iceland; introduced in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. As Stachys straight but pale yellow or white flowers, sometimes with red spots, in whorls, the upper ones populated. Flowers in inflorescences of 2-16 (6-16 in Stachys recta ). Corolla 1-1.6 cm, with tube longer than the calyx; calyx hairy-glandular, teeth half as long as the calicino tube. Normally annual up to 40 cm. Leaves lanceolate or cuneate rounded pointy, jagged, almost glabrous base. It blooms from spring to autumn.
