Hyssopus officinalis is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the mint family. It is native to Southern Europe, the Middle East, and the region surrounding the Caspian Sea. The plant has an upright growth habit and can reach a height of up to 2 feet (60 cm). It has narrow, lance-shaped leaves that are dark green in color and produce small, fragrant, blue, pink or white flowers.
