Carex melanostachya is a halvgr-sart described by Friedrich August Marschall von Bieberstein and Carl Ludwig von Willdenow . According to Catalog of Life included Carex melanostachya the genus cataracts and family sedges , but according Dyntaxa is the affinity instead genus cataracts and family sedges . The species has not been found in Sweden . No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life .
