Description
Kalanchoe prolifera is a plant of the genus Kalanchoe in the family of Crassulaceae (Crassulaceae). The perennial , completely bald and vigorous Kalanchoe prolifera reaches stature heights of 80 to 300 centimeters. The upright to down-lying, robust, unbranched shoots reach diameters of up to 5 centimeters and are more or less square. The green, fleshy leaves are petiolate, entire to feathered or pinnate. They are up to 30 centimeters long. The 5 to 12 cm long petiole widens towards the base and is stalk-enclosing. The elongated, lanceolate to ovate-elongated leaves are between 7 and 15 inches long and 1.5 to 5 inches wide. Their tip is dull, often purple leaf margin is notched to serrated. The very large inflorescence reaches dimensions of 40 to 80 centimeters long and 20 to 40 centimeters wide. It consists of compound panicles with up to 700 hanging flowers . The green goblet is bell-shaped and papillös. The calyx tube is between 13 and 16 millimeters long and ends in pointed, almost circular lobes, which are 3 to 7 millimeters long and wide. The red, green or yellow flower crown is roehrig. The 15 to 25 mm long Kronröhre has egg-shaped, pointed corners of 2.7 to 4 millimeters in length and 3 to 4 millimeters wide.
