Description

Tillaea is a genus with two species of flowering plants belonging to the Crassulaceae family. It comprises 102described species and of these, only 2 are accepted. They are small annual or perennial herbs. The fibrous roots. Stem cylindrical, erect or ascending, branched, sometimes stoloniferous at the base. Leaves opposite, sessile, joined at the base, flat or cylindrical. Axillary or terminal inflorescence, cimosa. Flowers tiny, bisexual, 3-5-rosos. Corolla white, greenish, pink, yellow or red, sometimes shorter than the sepals. Stamens in a whorl, in greater number and smaller than the petals. Carpelos free, short style. Follicles 1-many without seeds.
