Description
Stenocereus beneckei is a species of the genus Stenocereus in the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors a native of Berlin dealer Stephan (Etienne) Benecke (1808-1879), who emigrated to Mexico, where German consul of Mexico was and 1875, the Camara Nacional de Comercio founded.
