Description
Pilosocereus floccosus�grows shrubby or tree-shaped with a prominent stem, sometimes branching above the base, reaching heights of growth of 1 to 5 meters.�The upright, gray-green�shoots�are finely roughened and have diameters of 5 to 11 centimeters.�There are 4 to 8 ribs available.�The opaque�thorns�are initially yellowish brown or reddish and later turn gray.�The 3 to 6 ascending to protruding middle spines are 0.8 to 2.5 inches (rarely to 5 inches) long.�The ascending to spreading 5 to 16 marginal spines are 2 to 25 millimeters long.�The flowering part of the shoots is very pronounced.�It is close to the shoot tip close to annular�cephaly likeeducated.�There are 1.5 to 2 centimeters long, light brown or gray, woolly hair�from the�areoles�and up to 3.5 centimeters long bristles.
