Description

Eriosyce eriosyzoides are a species within the trunk cactus family and the family cactus plants which are naturally propagated in Chile E. eriosyzoides is a spherical to cylindrical cactus which becomes 7 to 14 centimeters in diameter, dark green to blue-green in color and has a sharp taproot. It is divided into 13 to 17 ridges which are 7.5 to 12.5 millimeters high, and are divided into warts. The tags are upward and pale yellow or gray-black to the color. They consist of 1 to 7 central branches that grow 2 to 5 centimeters long and have a darker tip. Around these are 10 to 15 radial tags that are 1.5 to 4 centimeters long. The flowers are whitish, pale brown or yellowish and grow up to 3.25 centimeters in diameter. The fruit is green to reddish when it is ripe.
