Description
Myagrum is a monotypic genus of phanerogamous plantsbelonging to the Brassicaceae family. Its unique species : Myagrum perfoliatum , is native to Eurasia . They are herbs, annual. It has stems of 2-5 (-6) dm, erect, ramified rigidly at or above half. Leaves basal short petiolate, oblanceolate, 2-7 cm x 0.5-1.5 cm, pinnatifid, sinuous, or toothed, withered by anthesis; Cauline leaves below sessile branches, oblong to lanceolate, 1.5-6 x 0.5-2 cm, sagittal with amplexicaule or auriculate base, whole or denticulate margin, acute or obtuse apex; Leaves of similar branches, but upwards smaller and smaller. The inflorescences in clusters with numerous flowers; Fructification in pedicels of 3-5 mm, robust, appressed to rachis, much wider distal. Sepal oblong to ovate, 2.5-3.5 x 0.6-1.4 mm; Petals yellow, oblong to oblanceolate. Seeds brown, oblong to ovoid.
