“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: seeds The rock cabbage ( Brassica rupestris Raf. , 1810 ) is a herbaceous plant of the family of the Brassicaceae, endemic of Sicily . t is a perennial herbaceous species, with suffrutic bearing, with woody stems up to 150 cm high. [3] The basal leaves are lyric, glabrous or sometimes covered with a short hair, 15 to 40 cm long, while the cauline leaves are ovate and gradually smaller. The yellow flowers have, like all the crucifers, 4 petals and 6 stamens and are gathered to form dense racemes . The fruit is a siliqua with quadrangular section, more or less curved, 40-100 mm long, with a beak of about 10 mm. The chromosomal number ofBrassica rupestris is 2n = 18
