[3] The basal leaves are lyric, glabrous or sometimes covered with a short hair, 15 to 40 cm long, while the cauline leaves are ovate and gradually smaller. The yellow flowers have, like all the crucifers, 4 petals and 6 stamens and are gathered to form dense racemes . The fruit is a siliqua with quadrangular section, more or less curved, 40-100 mm long, with a beak of about 10 mm. The chromosomal number ofBrassica rupestris is 2n = 18
