Description
Onosma is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae. Onosma are native to the Mediterranean and western Asia. They grow in dry, sunny habitats and prefer rocky, sandy environments. Some Onosma species are popular as rock garden plants. Scientists believe that the Onosma genus contains roughly 100 species. The systematics are unclear and the group is in need of study and revision.
