Description
Echium aculeatum (the Blue pride of Madeira or the Madeiran blue pride) is an endemic species of white coloured perennial plant from Boraginaceae family, that can be found in the north coast of Madeira Island, Porto Santo Island and Bugio. The plant have leather-like leaves, which are also densely spiny. Its name in Portuguese is "massaroco The species name is from the Latin for "nervous".
