Macoubea guianensis (Macoubea guianensis)
Description
It reaches between 5 and 25 m in height,the trunk presents a white exudate.2 Single,opposite,elliptic 3 or obovate leaves of 10 to 19 cm in length by 4.5 to 9.5 cm in width.Inflorescence terminal on top corimbosa,with many small yellow flowers,agglomerated,peduncle of 1 to 2.5 cm in length.2 The fruit is a subglobular berry 3 (butterfly form),cinnamon-colored when ripening,syncharic,coarse,4 to 5,5 cm long,rough;with several oblong seeds,1.3 to 1.6 cm long,black,rough,2 that float in the syrup that fills the fruit.
