Description

Condylocarpon intermedium is a species of vines belonging to the family Apocynaceae. It is native to tropical America. It is distributed in Nicaragua , French Guiana , Guyana , Suriname , Venezuela and Brazil where it is very common in swamps of fresh water along the coast Atlantic at altitudes of 0-10 meters . Its flowering occurs in October. They are vines with milky latex. The leaves are opposite and are ovate, elliptical to oblong-elliptic 4-10 cm long and 1.5-4.5 cm wide, the apex acute to acuminate, base obtuse, scarcely pilose along the main nerve on the underside. The inflorescence loosely panicked, a little elongated, with white flowers; sepals less than 1 mm long; the corolla narrowly infundibuliform, tube 1-1.5 mm long, the wolves 1-1.5 mm long; the anthers not attached to the head of the style . The fruits Apocárpicos, each half similar to a lomento and articulated in several ovoid segments, indehiscent and with 1 seed, each 1-2 cm long and 0.6-0.8 cm wide.
