Description
Cascabela is a genus of flowering plants in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. It is native to Mexico, Central America, and South America. They are shrubs or small trees with white latex . Leaves alternate, mostly with scaphoid glands at the base of the petiole , usually coriaceous. Inflorescence usually a top with few flowers or seemingly racemose, yellow flowers creams; Separate them free or almost like that; corolla tubular-campanulate to hypocrateriform; anthers not completely agglutinated at the head of the style; apocalyptic ovary. Syncarpic fruit, druceous with 2-4 large seeds, fleshy exocarp, woody mesocarp.
