Description

Heracleum austriacum is Up to 50 cm high. Stems at the bottom not more than 3 mm thick , bald, slightly furrowed. Leaves simply pinnate, with 1 to 3 distant Fiederpaaren . Part leaves ovate or broad-lanceolate, 2-4 cm long, dentate, often with 1-2 incisions, sessile. End part sheet roundish, little cut. Umbels 8-12strahlig. Envelopes and covers leaves present or missing. Flowers white or pink, the outer ones greatly enlarged . Fruit flat, roundish, 6-8 mm long, glabrous, well-winged.
